Begin at Grandview, where you’ll relax while taking in panoramic views from 1,400 feet above the New River. Next, visit the Canyon Rim Visitor Center to explore the awe-inspiring gorge and bridge. Child Rate: Same as adults unless child is aged 2 years or below, who do not require a separate seat (lap child).

Inclusions: Hotel pickup & drop-off transportation, Step-on-Tour Guide Grandview & Canyon Rim Excursion, travel lunch, 1 snack option (granola bar or pepperoni roll), 1 bottled water, and tour-related taxes. Water Cooler will be available to replenish water bottles. One beverage of your choice at Bridge Brew Works.

Exclusions: Any personal expenses and gratuities. Shopping opportunities will be available at most of the stops.

Prebook Information:

Please dress accordingly to the time, season, and weather of the activity date. Comfortable outdoor shoes are strongly recommended.
Cell service coverage may be weak in some areas and the severity varies by service carrier.
Since the time of the tour could be delayed due to weather or other circumstances, please do not plan other time sensitive activities near the scheduled conclusion of this tour.

Sample Tour Itinerary

11:00 AM Depart from Glade Springs Resort, traveling to Grandview arriving at approximately 11:30 AM.
Enjoying approximately 1.5 hours at Grandview to eat lunch, hike to Main Overlook, and take pictures. (11:30 AM – 12:45 PM)
After departing Grandview arrive at Canyon Rim Visitors Center at approximately 1:45 PM.
Experience the various areas of Canyon Rim and experience views of the New River Gorge, the bridge, and visitors center. The center features a room filled with photographs and exhibits on the people, towns, and industry of the gorge. Other displays focus on the recreation and natural history of the area. Approximately 1 hour.
Depart Canyon Rim at approximately 2:45 PM with a stop at Swiftwater Country Store then brief trip down under to Fayette Station, for another dramatic view of the bridge then traveling to a local brewery, Bridge Brew to relax and enjoy a beverage of your choice (included in the package price). Departing Bridge Brew approximately 4:45 PM.
Hop on the shuttle one last time for your return to Glade Springs, approximate arrival time 5:45 PM

What happens if it rains?

The excursion is non-refundable, once inside the 72 hour booking window.
What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing and footwear. A sturdy pair of walking shoes or sneakers is recommended for sightseeing.
What should I bring with me on the excursion?

You may bring a small bag such as a backpack, purse, or crossbody. Other suggestions would be a refillable water bottle, sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, and/or bug spray.
What time does the shuttle leave?

Shuttle will leave promptly at 11:00 AM from the Main Hotel Lobby.
How long is the outing?

The tour is approximately 7 hours, with an estimated return time between 5:30 PM -6:30 PM.
How much walking will I be doing?

There is at least 1-3 hours of walking in total to view the scenic areas.
What kind of terrain will I be walking on?

Mostly flat terrain, including paved trails, boardwalk, and dirt paths, with some hills.
Do I have to be in good shape?

You should be healthy enough to participate in all included walks without assistance.
Will I be able to get my National Park Passport Stamped?

Yes. This excursion includes stops at 2 of the 4 visitor centers.
