Bridge Day Package
You will be holding your breath as you peer over the railing 876 feet to the river below on the only day it is legal to walk out onto the New River Gorge Bridge. Enjoy beautiful fall foliage and experience food, vendors, and excitement as over 300 BASE jumpers and many teams of rappellers and skydivers dare to jump and hang 876 feet above the whitewater of the New River, the oldest river in North America. Bridge Day is open 9am – 3pm (traffic on the bridge is closed 7am – 5pm).
Our two night package includes lodging in the Executive Suites or The Inn on Friday and Saturday nights, a full West Virginia breakfast buffet each morning, and shuttle to the entrance of the New River Gorge Bridge for Bridge Day (no extended walking or shuttling).
Your round-trip shuttle times to the New River Gorge Bridge, for Saturday, October 19:
- Leaving Glade Springs: 8:00 AM or 11:00 AM
- Leaving New River Gorge Bridge : 12:30 or 3:30PM

ADD ON NEW RIVER GORGE TOUR Make a whole weekend of the New River Gorge and add on our New River Gorge Tour on either Friday or Sunday! This add on is not available on October 19 as the bridge will be closed off for Bridge Day. Our excursion tour leaves at 11am and takes you to Grandview Overlook, Canyon Rim Visitors Center, a stop to Swiftwater Country Store, a brief trip to Fayette Station (under the bridge), and finally a stop in Bridge Brew Works for a beverage then return to Glade Springs at around 6pm. This add on is $120 per person and includes the tour, step-on tour guide, travel lunch, a snack, and beverage at Bridge Brew Works. There is a 72 hour advance booking notice required for this add on.
